Jasper SUN, runner-up World Best sommelier of South of France helped the Shanghai media experience the uniqueness of Roussillon wines

On May 2nd, a Roussillon media wine dinner was held in Shanghai Shangri-La Hotel. More than 10 local media joined: vinehoo.com, TasteSpirit.com, 9pin.com, Global times, Shanghai morning post, Meipin, ctnews.com, Pinzhi.

Eric Aracil, Deputy-Manager of the Roussillon Wines Council (CIVR), hosted the dinner in Shanghai with the help of Jasper. They explained the singularity of the region and of it wines.

Some information on Roussillon:

The Roussillon wine region is shaped like an amphitheater and nestled in the South of France between Spain, the Mediterranean Sea, the Pyrenees & the Corbières Mountains.

Roussillon is a community of small growers, family vineyards with an average size of 10 ha.

* 2 200 wine growers

* 350 private cellars (+25 in the Aude for VDN only).

* 75 % of wine production is driven by 25 caves co-operatives

     (+4 in the Aude for VDN only)

* Production mix in wineries

Overall, 24 grape varieties are used: 15 varieties used to make AOP dry wines and 8 varieties used to make AOP Vins Doux Naturels.

For IGPs:

  • For red and Rose wines: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet-Franc, Marselan, Chenanson.
  • For white wines: Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc.

Evolution of Roussillon wine exports in the world:

* Roussillon dry wines: World total amount is 6,5 million bottles. EUR 23 million.

* Roussillon fortified sweet wines: world total amount is 0.6 million bottles. EUR 3.4 million.

* Export total amount is 7.1 million bottles. Total value is 26.4 million EUR.

During the media wine dinner, Jasper, Wine Director of Shangri-La hotel and runner-up world best sommelier of the South of France, helped to make wine-tasting dinner a unique and unforgettable experience for our media partners. He is well-known to Chinese wine-professionals, as Jasper was also the runner-up for the 9th edition of China’s sommelier competition in 2017.

南法侍酒师世界亚军Jasper 助你体验别样露喜龙

5月2日露喜龙媒体晚宴在上海静安香格里拉大酒店举行。以及酒斛网,知味,酒品,环球时报,新闻晨报,媒品,中国旅游报,品质等10几家媒体的参与。

晚宴由露喜龙行业协会出口副主任Eric先生主持,侍酒师Jasper的帮助下,为大家介绍露喜龙的地理,历史及主要情况。

关于露喜龙的一些资讯:

坐落于东比利牛斯省东部, 法国南部的露喜龙产区犹如一个巨大的露天剧场。濒临西班牙。面朝地中海,环绕比利牛斯山,卡尼古峰,科比埃山和阿尔贝尔山脉。

露喜龙产地多以小葡萄园主联盟。即小型家庭式葡萄园,平均种植面积为10公顷。

共有2200户葡萄种植者。

*约350个独立酒庄 (另外,奥德还有25个酒庄,专门生产VDN葡萄酒)。

*露喜龙地区总产量的75%来自于25个酿酒合作社(和4个位于奥德的合作社,它们专门 生产VDN葡萄酒)

*酒庄产品多样化。

采用24个葡萄品种打造优质葡萄酒:

其中,酿造AOP级别干葡萄酒15个葡萄品种;

酿造AOP级别天然甜葡萄酒8个葡萄品种;

用于酿造IGP葡萄酒的主要葡萄品种还包括(加上之前提到过的品种一共24种):

红葡萄酒和桃红葡萄酒: 美乐,赤霞珠,品丽珠,马瑟兰,奇南圣。

白葡萄酒:霞多丽,长相思。

露喜龙近年来的市场经济走向及情况,从露喜龙不同类型的酒品等等。露喜龙受到了全球市场的热捧。
干型葡萄酒:出口总量达到了6 500 000瓶,出口总价值达到了23 000 000欧元

自然甜酒:

出口总量达到了600 000瓶,出口总价值达到了3 400 000欧元

进口总量:

出口总量达到了7 100 000瓶,出口总价值达到了26 400 000欧元
